White and bright clawfoot in LA

There are 3 things we love about this old-meets-new white clawfoot design in LA.

Firstly the look and feel is white and bright, but with levels of texture breaking up the space. Interestingly the design uses few points of contrast, letting the space feel big and airy.

Secondly the window and walk through works well with the placement, lighting the scheme from behind. It's a great look but strangely not seen that often. Usually designers work with windows to place them around work areas or counter tops. Using natural light's always a bonus, but resisting putting a vanity under a window works well.

Thirdly the hero-placement of the clawfoot bath tub. By lining the sides of the space the room seems deeper and cleaner, with great sight lines to the walk in shower. But putting all the storage on the side away from the tub makes the tub space look streamlined and uncluttered.

Its a great scheme and will work well in any long and narrow(er) space. And if you don't have a window try a stud wall with a mounted mirror, a simple and effective way to bounce light in any space.
